It was a valueble event to business owners from both countries!I personally find this trip enlightening and educational. Although I am not a BNI member, but I felt the warmth from all the participants of BNI.
Morever, I got business contacts from Batm thru this trip. Never regret joining this visit.Thank you for organised this trip.

My original plan for the Batam trip is to get contacts for Indonesian pots, natural stones, feature stones and timber crafting suppliers for my landscape projects and retail outlets in Malaysia. l managed to get the supplier during this JBBC trip. It may sound easy but before this l actually spent 6 years trying different ways but no results. BNI helps me to make the 1st step to connect to Indonesia successfully and safely! Thanks to BNI, especially our Regional Director, Susan Choo and Assistant Director, Zhiwen Chin for all your efforts to make this happened!

Last but not least, besides getting my long awaited contacts from Indonesia, I also got an opportunity to supply something back to them. They showed me around Batam snapping photos of some of the things they wanted! Now, this is another opportunity for me to make money which l've never thought of but was reminded by the Indonesian Supplier! l got more than what l expected from this JBBC trip.

In BNI, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE if we ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE in all BNI Activities.

Johor - Batam Business Connections


On 6th – 7th May 2007, a business delegation group consisting mainly of business owners and professionals from BNI Johor, a Business Referral Organisation visited Batam Island to explore business opportunities together with some of the local business owners there.

The event was jointly organized by Mr. Andi M. Lutfi, the managing director of PT. Sumatera Promotion Centre and Mr. Zhiwen Chin, the assistant director of BNI Johor. Gracing the event were Mr. Jon Arizal, Head of Dept, of Industry, Trade & Cooperative of the Riau Islands Province and Ms. Susan Choo, the regional director of BNI Johor who also spoke on the topic of business networking.
