Memory Hooks Are To Be Remembered.

Memory Hooks are sometimes called “tag lines” or company slogans. 

These short brief phrases are designed to be remembered and help your target market remember the details about your company or product.  

They are not for fun. They really do work to help your buying public remember the details of your company or product when the external stimulus triggers the memory hook in their minds eye. 

If done correctly your memory hook will be remembered before the name and details of your product, service or company name.

  Examples :
1. We pay cash for your crash | General Insurance
2. We shoot your family | Photographer
3. Protect your wealth, insure your health | Medical Insurance
4. We don't charge an arm and a leg, we want tows | Towing Company
   

The Process to build a great memory hook: 

1. First think of a slogan that you think might be catchy to your target market.
2. Test it out on your chapter members. 
3. Create several alternative memory hooks as in step one and repeat step two. 
4. Test the best alternative memory hooks on a focus group of people representing your ideal target market. 
5. Decide on the best memory hook to use and stick to it. 
6. Deliver it extensively within your network and target market according to your marketing plan.

Building BNI into your Schedule

With all the predictions of doom and gloom in the economy right now one of the best things we can do to RAISE THE BAR is to build BNI into our schedule. 

 

Make time in our schedule for BNI!

Many of us are busy and this is not our normal routine for our lives. BNI is a different way of looking at things for many of us. 

In order for us to be successful in giving, we need to schedule time to do things to help out the members in our chapter. Schedule time to get together with another member, schedule time to focus in on inviting visitors, schedule time to figure out what you can do to help another member. 

That may be as little as 15 minutes a day but we need to schedule and focus.  

Anything you do to help your chapter or another member will never hurt your own business. 

Will inviting people hurt your business?

(Meeting new people, calling people we already know to give them an opportunity) 

Will getting together with another member to strengthen and build your relationship hurt your business? 

Will taking advantage of MSP and learning about networking and referral marketing hurt your business? 

Remember in BNI it’s not-net sit or net-eat, Here IT’S NET-WORK
